2v2 Gamemode
FrostedWarHead “FrostedWarHead” Sam Harris
I’ve posted this on the review page and was directed here for a vote if this is why I believe the player base would love a 2v2 mode. Reason 1: Co-op play with friends or fandoms against bots | Reason 2: This game currently only has one gamemode and it’s pretty straight forward wouldn’t we like to see a new one where you have to rely on a teammate to hold his side so you arnt pinned in a 1v2 | Reason 3: This gamemode can implement new maps and new classes would you the player base like new classes new maps? | Reason 4: we could have epic back to back fights against other plays (taking account to the play space that everyone has of course)

I have a small concept of 2 vs 2 gamemode.
2 teams of 2 players each. Arena with 2 bridges, where players from different teams fight each other individually 1v1. The winners of these duels advance to the final. The player who wins the final receives the victory for the team. If both players on a team lose their first match, then they lose without a final. If in the first duels there were 2 draws, then this is the result of the whole match.
Something similar was implemented in For Honor by Ubisoft, but i don't know if actual 2 vs 2 in the same area would work (bc of players play area size difference and confusion with 4 flying sword), though it can be more fun to play.

Sheinort: I thought the same thing I was also thinking 2v2 from for honor I think your idea would work better if you can copy and paste it into the submission I’ll upvote it so the creators can see it

FrostedWarHead “FrostedWarHead” Sam Harris: I think it's best to keep all 2v2 suggestions in one place so we dont steal upvotes from each other and it would be more easy to see for developers. Also you can like other people comments

Sheinort: I think thats more like paired duels, a 2v2 it's more like, counting on your teammate so you don't get 2v1 to feel like you are a team

Artorias Siegmaier: team play as you describe can be more fun, but with current 1vs1 game mechanic it also can be boring, unbalance and frustraiting (4 flying swords (especialy 2 handed swords), frequent bouncing to start positions, play area difference and ping). Even in for honor, where players have opportunity to fight true 2 vs 2, they most often dont do this, because it is very frustrating and feels unfair.
But it could work. Both players on the same bridge, side by side and only players with contacting swords will bounce back (with small delay for teammate to strike in the same target).
Also if you share score and see your teamate fight in 5m from you it could be enogh to feel like a team. In for honor, team olympic fencing and team olympic chess it is enogh and this games (and sports) is very frustraiting when played as true 2 vs 2.
And 1 more thing, developing true 2 vs 2 will be more time concuming for developers :)
